Having previously held many volunteer roles including with NCT, Langham Pre-School, Friends of Langham School PTA and the Oak Tree Café, Jane loves being involved in community projects. As Vice-Chair Jane doesn't have regular responsibilities, but is always ready to step in to help out where required. Clare Dixey - Secretary
Clare has been secretary of 2nd Langham Scouts Executive Committee for 5 1/2 years.
My son joined 2nd Langham as a Beaver, working through Cubs and Scouts and has recently joined Explorers. I think that the Scout Association enables young people to develop valuable life skills and is a fantastic organisation. All of the leaders give up their time voluntarily so helping with the Executive Committee has been my way of helping the group and to say thank you for the opportunities that my son has received. As secretary I am responsible for keeping accurate minutes of the Executive Committee meetings, setting meeting agendas and organising meetings. Professionally, I am a digital marketing manager for one of the UK’s leading care home groups. In my spare time I enjoy art, cooking, photography and being a busy mum.

Elouise Walker - Treasurer
I joined the 2nd Langham Executive committee as Group Treasurer in 2016, as both my daughters; Olivia and Imogen were actively involved and they have both since progressed into becoming Young Leaders within the Beaver Section.
During my tenure we have successfully implemented OSM (Online Scout Manager) for Group management, Online banking for ease of payments, and Go Cardless for automated payment collection. Additionally, I have also been actively involved in the organisation of fundraising events, activities, camps and hikes.
Being an Accountant by profession has enabled me to assist the group with digital progression around the payments and bookkeeping space.

Doug Dean
I have been on the committee for (I think) the last twenty years, fourteen of those as Group Treasurer. I was brought up through Cubs, Scouts and Venture Scouts initially at ‘1st Stanmore’, then with ‘4th Harrow (County School) Pathfinders’, when I moved to senior school. After a number of years absent from scouting, at the time when my daughter Lindsay joined the Scouts at Langham, transferring from the Brownies at Great Horkesley, my son Tom joined the Cubs and I was soon asked to join the Executive. Although I stood down as Treasurer a few years ago, I have remained on the committee and continue to help with fund raising and events as required. Now retired, I spent my career in banking, insurance and latterly working in care with children and young adults with disabilities.
