We took part in Damboree 2019, it is a national event that started in 2018 to encourage Beavers to sleep in Tents. 

We had great fun at Thorrington Scout Camp.  When we arrived we put up our tent and then went off to the 3D Maze, it was lots of fun we had to put on helmets and crawl to find our way out, for lunch we made dampers and chocolate bananas on the fire.  We built Dens, went on a nature walk and pioneered a frame that we were able to walk across.  

Tonight we celebrated our colonies 30th birthday in Hobday Woods, we had a picnic, toasted marshmallows dipped in chocolate and birthday cake.  We sang songs around the campfire too. Denise our Group Scout Leader and Beaver Leader has been volunteering with the Group for 30 years too.
